This gluten free crockpot Hawaiian chicken recipe is full of flavor and super easy to prepare. Let the slow cooker do all of the work for you and come home to an easy gluten-free dinner!
Everyone needs a few go-to meals in their arsenal for those extremely busy weeks.
You know those weeks I am talking about… Those weeks you forget to shave your left leg because you’re too busy worrying about what you have to do after you get out of the shower.
The weeks when you can’t find your sunglasses and search frantically for 10 minutes, only to find they are sitting on top of your head.
The times you feel discouraged when you mark 15 items off your To-Do list in one Saturday, and then add another 20 more.
This crockpot Hawaiian chicken is beyond words ah-maaaazing. I honestly felt like I was being very naughty and eating a gluten-laden plate of Chinese takeout–but I wasn’t!
As always, this slow cooker Hawaiian chicken is completely gluten free, but I bet your gluten-loving friends couldn’t tell the difference!
Be careful when stirring the chicken at the end as some of the breading will start to come off of the chicken the more you stir. Hope you enjoy!
A Tip When Serving this Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken:
Be careful when stirring the chicken at the end. The more you stir the chicken, the more the breading will start to come off.
This recipe tastes awesome served over rice with a sprinkle of green onions!
Don’t have a Crock-Pot yet?
Slow cookers are an extremely affordable kitchen appliance that are well worth the space they take up in your kitchen. They come in various sizes, but I would highly encourage you to get at least a 6-QT Crock-Pot. This will give you plenty of room to make big batches of soup, stew or even queso dip for a party.
Not wanting to clean up a mess?
Sometimes your slow cooker can be a bit of a hassle to clean-up. If you want to save even more time, these Slow Cooker Liners can be thrown away after use.

Great recipe! The chicken is well seasoned and savory. I used the slowcooker 6hr time preparation. I think that adding vegetables would really cover all the food groups. I will try adding baby carrots, broccoli, and maybe small potatoes. Thank you so much!
Yay! So happy to hear you enjoyed the recipe! That sounds delicious. Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment and rating!
Can I use gluten free flour instead of corn starch?
Yes, you absolutely can, Caraline! Hope you enjoy the recipe 🙂
My slow cooker has “4h” & “6h” as the “high” setting, and “8h” & “10h” as low…will it be cooked enough if I set it to my 8h (low), or too much is I set it to 6h (high)?
You should be good with either for 6h or 8h setting! I would just check on it with about an hour’s worth of time left to see how it’s doing!

Did you have to thicken the sauce I’m making right now but doesn’t appear the sauce will thicken
Hi Marilyn! The sauce should begin to thicken as it cools. However, if you want to make it a little thicker you can always create a starch slurry of warm water and cornstarch/tapioca starch. Hope this helps!
I made ithis for dinner last night and it turned out really good. The only thing I did different was put it in my instant pot and cook for 30 minutes on the poultry setting instead of the slow cooker. It was perfect. Thanks for sharing this recipe..
Oh wow, Ann!! I have not tried this in the IP yet but am SO excited to! I bet it was so tender. Thanks for your comment and rating!! 🙂
